I'll take it over a 458.

A 430 Scuderia is the first and to date only Ferrari I've been lucky enough to drive, and it will always be awesome in any form. If I owned one, I'm sure I would wrap it around a tree in short order.

I still get more excited when I see a 430 on the road than a 458.

I know I'm in the vast minority, but I think that the 458 is easily the ugliest supercar on the market today. The front end especially is painfully deformed and grotesque.
The F430 was a clean and COHESIVE design, something that can't be said of the random clusterfuck of angles, geometric shapes, and curves of the 458

So jealous

I don't like the front end of the 458 either. I don't hate it as much as you do. But I like the front end of the F430 much better.
I also like the interior of the F430 better. The round air vents are classy. Everything in the 458 is squared off.
The 458 does look better in person than in the pics though. If it was available with a gated shifter I could ignore the super aggressive looks and just enjoy the car. But no stick is a real bummer.

If it makes you feel any better, I had to pay for it.

Still awesome!!
How much did you have to pay? Probably worth it!
Does the Scud's F1 really shift so hard that it hurts your back? Or do people exaggerate?

It was $500 for 5 laps around the tiny inner course at Vegas Motor Speedway. Totally worth it. The Scud and Murc were the most expensive but there were cheaper options. The shifts didn't hurt my back in that short time, but in an extended drive I could certainly see it happening. I was originally booked for the 430 f1, but when I heard the Scud I had to upgrade.

That is awesome! Definitely worth it.
If you owned it your average per weekend cost to drive it on public roads would be way more than $500 when you factor in the monthly payment, maintenance, insurance and gas.
